How Gavin’s Weather vs Climate Graphs Compare to Hansen Predictions?

I bet you wondering how Hansen et al. 1988 scenarios look compared to Gavin’s “Weather vs. Climate” graph? Well, here is his graph of the GISS Land Ocean data with the 8 year trend lines superimposed. Below is a similar graph showing the Hansen ABC predictions.

Weather vs. Climate- compared to Scenarios

Yes, the trend for the Hansen ABC predictions are above those for the data.

Over at Roger Pielke Jr. blog and at Real Climate, Gavin has been pointing out that 8 years is an insufficient amount of time to assess trends., Of course, these trends are only for 24 years, which like 8 years may not be enough for comparison. I’d use more data for purposes of comparison, but unfortunately, empirical data for 2008 is not yet available.

Update: Note that Scenario ABC data at Real Climate were digitized, see Gavin’s response to my request.
