Tom--
I haven't investigated my traffic sources in detail-- but most is "direct". That is, people who like visiting just use bookmarks in their browser or type in the address.

As Examiner.com doesn't show journalists referrers, I can't speak to who drives what. I would note that the small size of the community and the specificity of the topic makes it more difficult to tease out the primary drivers. On the occasions I make it into Climate Depot, I have also been linked to by other sites, including both of you. When general interest has led me to Climate Depot, it is often after finding information on third party sites.

Do you use Google Trends to see what the available universe of traffic is? I keep meaning to, but never seem to get around to it.

Lucia: Go to Climate Depot. Move your curser down the left column and a link to your site under a title " Climate report Shows Surface Temperatures Lower Than Expected..." It is about 2/3 of the way down, to the left and above a photo of 2 cops arresting some skeptic... With my browser, Safari, as I scroll down it shows site links. Maybe explorer does too so it only took me 10 seconds to find the link to your site

But send be a note when you post something interesting, and I'll send some traffic your way. - Anthony

Well, my first ripening tomato is just turning pink now. But it's in an awful location and I don't have enough data for a pattern yet.

Would salad recipes drive traffic, or only drive the ad matcher nuts?

Anthony,
I meant to get the sort of traffic you get. I can definitely report that a link from WUWT also results in tons of traffic. On the other hand, the infrequent links form RC.... a trickle!

Pardon me, but to get "Anthony Watts type traffic" you need to get Anthony Watts to link to you.

Go ahead, make my day ;-)
