Happy Easter Haiku

Sunny yellow blooms
greet us this Easter Sunday.
We all feel happy!
This may be the happiest Easter I’ve had in a long time. The spring bulbs are in full bloom. The shoots are forming on the clematis. Best of all, my father’s health and memory returned.
If I were a church goer, sermons describing the meaning of the resurrection would seem personal.
So, on this day, while I indulge in a culturally-Catholic vernal celebration, I wish those of all faiths a wonderfully beautiful Easter, day-after-Passover, spring or autumn day!
Update
People who envy the size of these daffodils should look for King Alfred Daffodils next fall. Their blooms really are larger than others. You can find this variety at any garden store in the fall.

Welcome back Lucia. We all missed you.
Your daffodils are twice the size of mine. But then I am in Evanston and you are further south than me. Also I am near the lake which is always cool. Amazing how temperatures differ in nearby locations.

For He has made everything beautiful
In it’s time

Jack–
The size of my daffodils is not due to living in Lisle. If you want huge daffodils, I suggest you look for King Alfred Daffodils. They are huge compared to other varieties.
I have different varieties in different parts of the garden. But I always plant some King Alfreds where-ever I live. These are an inexpensive variety, hardy and a beautiful yellow and you will find bins full of King Alfreds at pretty much any and every garden store in the fall.
I’ve cut some to grace the table at dinner.
I’m on the top of a hill; my inlaws get flowers before I do. But the King Alfred’s will always dwarf everyone else’s flowers.

Very nice April daffodils. They are to me a sign that this has truely been a colder than normal winter not matter what the apparent temperature tsars are saying. In my area (Central East Coast) daffodils often poke heads up in late January or early February in mild winters and are in full bloom by Marchand are gone by this time.

I’d seen the turbine ones before. It’s hilarious!
I hadn’t seen the sex one. . . pretty funny too.

Since flowers are being discussed.
Here is a flower of the British Isles that bloomed just a few days ago. Susan Boyle singing a wonderfully moving rendition of I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables.

I don’t watch the talent(?) shows, but Susan Boyle turned out to be a Rose among the thorns.
Heavy accent may make the lyrics hard for some to understand so here is a link to them.

I sure many will enjoy it.
