March First Haiku
Say hello to march
Brave daffodils show green tops,
soon yellow flowers.
Anthony discussed daffodils not yet blooming in England. Mine aren’t blooming yet either. I don’t have any idea how early they bloomed in April.

Contentious kitties.
Grizelda stands near fat ‘Mo;
he trembles, grows, flees.
As some of you know, Grizelda broke in through the cat door on a dark rainy October night and became our adopta-cat. She and the other cats kinda-sort get along, but I’m sensing a lot of stress. Griz makes ‘Mo very nervous. All [...]

An hour ago, I [...]
Glorious August.
Browneyed susans golden blooms
brighten the garden.
Note to newbies: Haikus are open threads.
Plump, red ripe juicy;
my tomatoes have ripened.
Summer has arrived.
Tonight, my family will finally eat home grown tomatoes! We usually harvest our first tomato in early July; the unusually cold summer delayed things. But, I can report that today we are experiencing hot, humid weather.
In fact, it’s icky.
The sort of summer [...]
Delicate flowers
sway in summers gentle breeze
and survive her storms.
Still no ripe tomatoes, but the flowers are brilliant! Of course this is an open thread. Haiku welcome.
Update July 27. Niels wanted to see the cone flowers:
