Has anyone checked the trends in UAH/RSS vs the models? Also, I believe Dr. Pielke Sr, Jr. et al published a paper showing that the trends for NCDC et al are likely overstated due to boundary condition measurement issues.

UAH temperature anomalies were officially posted yesterday. I thought you all might like to see a graph of temperature anomalies with uncertainty intervals. I included a trend of 2C/century for references:

The trends for both UAH and RSS are negative since 2001 with RSS having the larger negative trend.

As most of you are no doubt aware, both RSS and UAH reported temperatures for the troposphere during my absence: Both dropped relative to February.

The thread on the TT hotspot is so long I’m experiencing server errors trying to load it. Discuss it here.
The definition of a climate fingerprint keeps coming up in comments. I have mentioned that when using the term fingerprint, I use the IPCC definition from the glossary to the AR4. This is the definition.
