Open Thread & Search term haiku

People use search terms
to find the content they seek.
A few end up here!

This is an open thread. But I figured it would be fun to mention the top and most unexpected search terms that have brought visitors to my blog since Dec 1, 2008.

Top three search terms & number:

lucia blackboard (1095), the blackboard (545), lucia + blackboard (401), lucia liljegren (320), rank exploits (190), hadcrut (176), link:http://chartsgraphs.wordpress.com/ (167),blackboard lucia (154), causes of global warming (149), the blackboard lucia (127)

I suspect most these people found what they sought In case you are wondering: The reason I put my name, blog name and date on figures is to help people find the content that matches the figures. If you blog and create figures, I advise doing this.

Now, for some more unexpected search terms (click the search term to read its destination):

lucia zeke smoothing (51), calipigeous (31), lucia monckton (20), what does nasa, mean (20), earl happ (13), tailless squirrels (6), please select a cran mirror for use in this session”” (3), bad santer (3), make yourself leprechaun (3), blogs troll tco (2), gavin schmidt of realclimate proves he has no “ethics” in an effort to pre-empt steve mcintyre (2), hokey pokey new video (2), cherry climate change (2), do beakers have a stated uncertainty (2), ”pile up waste and perish” justify this statement (1).

Who would search on “”pile up waste and perish” justify this statement”? A high-school teacher looking for evidence of plagiarism? A student trying to cheat?

Feel free to talk about whatever you like, but be nice.
