The Type 2 (or ‘Beta’ ) error for a t-test describes the probability that the result of the test will be “fail to falsify” when the null hypothesis is false. Currently, this is very high with respect to the denialist hypothesis of 0C/century and even higher compared to the hypothesis of 1.5C/century.
