{"id":24624,"date":"2014-08-25T12:44:44","date_gmt":"2014-08-25T18:44:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rankexploits.com\/musings\/?p=24624"},"modified":"2014-09-18T08:42:41","modified_gmt":"2014-09-18T14:42:41","slug":"arctic-sea-ice-data","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rankexploits.com\/musings\/2014\/arctic-sea-ice-data\/","title":{"rendered":"Arctic Sea Ice data"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>lucia has asked me to blog on this season&#8217;s Arctic sea ice.\u00c2\u00a0 There will be more later, but here&#8217;s the current <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ijis.iarc.uaf.edu\/seaice\/extent\/plot_v2.csv\">JAXA version 2<\/a> seven day moving average plot for the 2009-2014 minimums.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;m hoping I can keep this graph updated more or less daily.  <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dl.dropboxusercontent.com\/u\/91578766\/2014%20Arctic%20Sea%20Ice%20Minimum\/JAXA%207%20Day%20Moving%20Average.png\" width='600' \/><\/p>\n<p>Edit:  I&#8217;m adding a few more graphs.<\/p>\n<p>Projected JAXA 2014 Minimum Ice Extent based on average loss to minimum from 2007-2013 (previous JAXA version numbers, don&#8217;t ask)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dl.dropboxusercontent.com\/u\/91578766\/2014%20Arctic%20Sea%20Ice%20Minimum\/2014%20Projected%20Minimum.png\" alt=\"Projected 2014 JAXA Minimum Arctic Ice Extent\" width='600' \/><\/p>\n<p>Arctic sea ice area anomaly (<a href=\"http:\/\/arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu\/cryosphere\/timeseries.anom.1979-2008\">Cryosphere Today data<\/a>) based on the average daily area from 2007-2012.
