with blind devotion.
Once blinded and leashed
puppies will ignore all those
who contradict him.
Lead climate dog howls,
as if baying at the moon.
Nature ignores him.

The metaphor that I like is James Hansen as Captain Ahab, following his obsession, and leading his crew (the hockey team) to disaster in quest of the great white whale (global warming). In the process he drowns his men and sinks the Pequod (the credibility of science).
Cold air forgets howls
Yet the brown stuff on my shoes
Speaks of once warm dogs
Nature the journal? Because they don’t ignore any climate bulldogs that I know of. 😉
Latest GISTEMP for June is out: +0,26 C anomaly. Northern hemisphere is +0.61 C and southern hemisphere is -0.09 C. Also, the Chaitén eruption appears to be winding down. Apparently the eruption was not violent enough to have spewed a lot of ashes in the stratosphere and its influence on the climate is played down.
So a haiku would be:
Men try to predict
Nature is a dissident
and escapes us all
P– I saw the GISS Temp at Anthony’s blog. I wonder what happened to make so many past temperature change? Usually, fewer change.

chasing the climate white whale
nature wins at end.
Chaiten, while a spectacular eruption (one of the night shots is gracing my monitor background right now), never was expected to put enough sulfur dioxide in the atmosphere to effect climate. Plus, it was too far to the south in general if it had.
Climate dogs relentless
Pee on sceptics territory until they
run out of fluids
The morning is cold
The dogs bark and say No! No!
I light up a fire
Haiku’s are too short! Here’s a more traditional one:
I wait all morning
And feel no warming
The Sun is sleeping
And I am freezing
Could it be a new trend?
Has it come to an end?

It’s good to see that at least a small part of the media establishment is fighting back against the AGW madness. Here is an excellent article – so it has probably been paid for by Exxon 😉

You are using rethoric the same way the other side does. As always with highly politicalized discussions unbiased views are almost always restricted to those that take no side at all. Everyone of us, even all of us, could be wrong, you know.
