Food Shortages in El Salvador.

The BBC is reporting food shortages in the wake of mudslides in El Salvador. At least 140 are dead and thousands live without water or electricity.

My friend Ana Sylvia who I’ve known since I was 4 years old, lives in El Salvador. She emailed some images of the conditions in La Paz, at Lake Illopango San Vincente and Downtown San Salvador. I doubt she took the photos, but I can’t give proper attribution because I don’t know the source. The BBC said conditions in San Vincente and downtown San Salvador are particularly bad. Below, I’ve included a few Ana sent me.

Ana tells me:

But we are fine. It is the poor people –as usual- the big concern and the majority of the victims.

  1. Andrew–
Unfortunately, I don’t. We sometimes just money to friends of the family who deal with that for us. Otherwise… the Red Cross.

  2. Thanks Luci for the info.
