  3. I have bet again for November. My wife had become concerned at the amount of Quatloos I was losing, so I had to take a few months off.

  4. Hmm. The cut-off date says November 15th. My calender currently says November 14th. I seem to have missed out for some reason. Just for drill I’ll put my guess here anyway. 0.087C

  5. Yes, aren’t bets usually allowed at least up to and including the cut-off date?
    In the case of the October UAH, the cut-off was October 19th, but the betting closed on October 20th.
    Isn’t it still the 14th in Hawaii?

  6. An interesting set of predictions this month, ranging between
    -0.98c and +0.206c, with a mean value of +0.0178 and a median of +0.045c.
    The predictions tended to increase in chronological order, which was influenced by the prediction of -0.98c at sequence no. 9. The mean value for the first 10 bets submitted is -0.08c and for the last 10 submitted was +0.041c.
    Personally, I think that the most likely range of actual results this month will be between +0.09c and +0.21c, so the 15 bets inside this range would stand the best chance of winning.

  7. Ray–The timezone whatever Dreamhosts and php sets it. I think it’s greenwich? I sometimes forget to backdate the time to give people warning.

    It wasn’t a particular problem in my case, but I thought it might have caught out some people living in the U.S.
    There weren’t any bet revisions this month, apart from mine, so that might be the reason.

  9. Lucia – I should jolly well hope that your host uses Greenwich. After all, we did in fact invent the whole meantime thingy 🙂

    Ray – you seem to have snuck in with some last minute insider info’. Does that imply that my algorithm which produced a negative number has let me down yet again? I had such high hopes… 🙁
