Thank you to those who wrote to tell me they say the “scary page” or were told they were banned yesterday. Dreamhost has shifted my server and told me afterwards. Between the time the server was changed and I learned of the issue and adjusted settings, Cloudflare settings were forwarding incorrectly. I’m amazed people got here at all!

But they did, and were told their IP was a mysterious Dreamhost IP (the value of my old server which Cloudflare was redirecting them toward.) They were then told they were banned, using a wrong IP and so on.

I have noticed a few issues today: a database error existed for at least 1/2 hour. It corrected itself. I suspect these are due to some ongoing work at Dreamhost. Likely they will be resolved. But if you see glitches today, it’s probably due to something at Dreamhost and will likely correct itself. But it may turn out I need to change a few more settings at Cloudflare after they’ve finished. I’ll be watching for issues– but if you see any protracted ones, let me know.
