Roy– I have no idea! But I’m under the impression UAH TLT uses data from AQUA.
Well the AMSR-E was on AQUA, they cannot run it anymore!

Roy, I believe the TLT measurements are from AMSU-A aboard AQUA:

Not sure specifically how AMSR-E was involved, but I think the SST we see on the UAH Discover website came from AMSR-E, so we’ll no longer see that part updated.

So, the satellite seems to be ok. If you want to know about UAH TLT more specifically, you have to ask Roy Spencer. I’m assuming that they’ll be posted. I’m basing this on the fact that no one has said otherwise.
The daily Global, SH, NH, Tropics numbers from UAH for September were posted today.
The Global number on September 30, dropped to -0.046C after being as high as +0.527C earlier in the month.

No, it was the failure of the AMSR-E instrument, only. The other
instruments, including AMSU, are working.

I see, the AMSR-E was related to measuring humidity, moisture, and sea temperatures. The AMSU-A is what measures to atmospheric temperatures. Got it!

Per Troy_CA, above, this is the record of the Channel 5 of the AMSU-A instrument, aloft on the AQUA satellite, as adjusted by Dr Spencer.
Hopefully, a review of that information will inspire everybody else to place bets that cluster around 99999 C. Or -99999 C. 😉

The script hides all bets while betting is on. It will reveal them after betting closes. I haven’t programmed it to let you view your own past bets. You have to remember.

This is probably obvious, but can you confirm that “cut-off Oct 19” means that bets can be placed up to midnight on October 19th?

No. The cutoff is based on the clock time set by the machine at Dreamhost. It’s midnight Oct 19…. in some time zone. Probably not yours. Definitely not mine.
