And to the French as well but that was a debt we owed to especially to (See: ‘Lafayette, We Are Here!”) Or course France also sent Rochambeau and some money.
But after rocky start, we ended up pretty good allies with England. We seem to mostly get along with Mexico and Canada too. (Knock on wood!)

If I understand the news about the new “U.S.-Canada Beyond the Border Action Plan”, Canada will be required to make available to the U.S. information about U.S. citizens entering Canada. I’ve heard concern that it acts as a defacto exit check. I’ve only caught a couple of stories about it, so maybe I wrong.

yes, I almost got trapped in Jordan because they would not let me leave. I had an unstamped kuwait Visa and they were convinced I was a spy of some sort. A quick call to the palace straightened them out.
