Based on Steve M and now Jeff (a) and (b) appropriate analysis of Steig’s et al data, Nature should withdraw this paper immediately.

I think the Jeff’s and SteveM are going to have to write a formal comment. It’s work, but if they are correct, it’s worth the effort. (I’ll be moving this to a Steig thread.)
